(6R,7R)-7-[2-(2-furyl)glyoxylamido]-3-(hydroxymethyl)-8-oxo-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylate,
72-(Z)-(O-methyl-oxime),1 -acetate 3-carbamate.
Its molecular formula is C20H22N4O10S, and it has
a molecular weight of 510.48.
Ceftin is in the amorphous form.
Cefuroxime for oral suspension, when
reconstituted with water, provides the equivalent
of 125 mg or 250 mg of cefuroxime (as cefuroxime
axetil) per 5 ml of suspension. Ceftin powder for
oral suspension contains the inactive ingredients
povidone K30, stearic acid, sucrose, and tutti-frutti
flavoring.

Ceftin 500mg Directions
Take each dose of Ceftin 500mg
with a full glass of water. Ceftin can be taken
on an empty stomach or with food or milk if it

Antacids and stomach acid reducers may reduce the

your doctor if you are taking any of the following
medicines: probenecid (Benemid); a loop diuretic
(water pill) such as furosemide, bumetanide (Bumex),
torsemide (Demadex), or ethacrynic acid (Edecrin);
warfarin (Coumadin); or another antibiotic.

serious side effects, stop taking Cefuroxime and
immediately seek emergency medical attention or
contact your doctor immediately:
-severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea;
-an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing
of the throat; swelling of the lips, face, or tongue;
hives; or a rash);
-unusual bleeding or bruising.
-rash, redness, or itching;
-mucous or blood in the stool; or Other, less serious
side effects may also occur. Continue to take the
medication and talk to your physician if you experience
any of the following:
-mild nausea or diarrhea, or
