Its molecular formula is C20H22N4O10S, and it has
a molecular weight of 510.48.
Ceftin is in the amorphous form.
Ceftin for oral suspension, when
reconstituted with water, provides the equivalent
of 125 mg or 250 mg of cefuroxime (as cefuroxime
axetil) per 5 ml of suspension. Ceftin powder for
oral suspension contains the inactive ingredients
povidone K30, stearic acid, sucrose, and tutti-frutti
flavoring.
Uses of Ceftin
Ceftin is used to treat many different

Ceftin Directions
Take each dose of Ceftin with
a full glass of water. Ceftin can be taken on
an empty stomach or with food or milk if it causes

Side Effects of Ceftin

-severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea;
-an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing
of the throat; swelling of the lips, face, or tongue;

-unusual bleeding or bruising.
-rash, redness, or itching;
-mucous or blood in the stool; or Other, less serious
side effects may also occur. Continue to take the
medication and talk to your physician if you experience
any of the following:
-mild nausea or diarrhea, or
-yeast infection of the mouth or vagina.

Symptoms of an Ceftin overdose may
include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps,
and seizures.
